Glacier Walk Driving back from Anchorage, we took the long route back.  From the Glenn Highway you can see the Matanuska glacier.  We stopped at the state park (page 4) and since we didn't get to see the glacier in Seward up close we drove from the highway about a mile to see the Matanuska glacier.  The glacier "park" is privately owned.  Brad and I didn't have the necessary equipment so we didn't go any further than the main trail - Heather is known for... being lost in thought and spraining ankles, so we played it safe.  =) Page 1 Page 2 Page 4 Glacial melt spring - a lot of silt in the water Jaunty Brad on boulder which is still iced into the ground - Glacier in background Heather with glacier in background Pebbles in the glacier which are melting faster than the snow/ice around it - creating a pock marked area Heather petting the free roaming horses - we had to bribe them to let us out of the parking lot!
